Irritable Vowels

This game will get everyone thinking.

At the centre of the game is a self-rolling die, covered in vowels. Once you press the button, the die will move at irregular intervals. Surrounding the die are lots of consonants and another die. By rolling the number die, you will be told what sort of word you need to find. It might contain a double letter, end in a particular letter, start with it, or even not contain it.

The race is now on. All words need to be at least four letters long and must contain the vowel and comply with the rule. The fastest thinkers, and best spellers, will be able to find the words that match the criteria call them out. They then have until the die rolls again to create as many as possible.

This game will get the whole family involved. The die moves in a really unpredictable way and is great fun to watch, but then you remember that you are also meant to be finding a word!

Different every time and you can invent your own rules to make it more difficult when they get too good at it.
